minutes later, until lunchtime is shortened by ten minutes, finishing, as usual,
at 1.30pm.
There are staff duties at the beginning of the day, at break time and at bus-call.
If the weather is bad, pupils will be asked to remain in their rooms during morning
break; supervision will remain the responsibility of the break duty team.
Lunchtime duty is voluntary but it is appreciated if staff volunteer for duty,
run clubs and sports teams or simply remain on site offering a calming presence.
At the beginning of the academic year, teaching staff will be offered the opportunity
of being appointed as Senior Midday Meals Supervisors, who will receive a remuneration
for the lunchtime session and be subject to a special contract with the governors.
No pupil in the 11-16 school may leave school between 9.00 am and 3.40 pm except
when he/she has lunch at home (as arranged) or permission from his/her head of
school.
Pupils arriving late to school must sign in at Reception.
