Frequency |
- A minimum of 12 common assessment and research tasks will be set by each teacher. These will be available on the website for pupils to access.

Grading |
- All tasks will be assessed using exam grades only. These will be based on the following grade boundaries:
A* - 80% (A2 only)
A – 70
B – 60
C – 50
D – 40
E – 30
F – 20
U – 0-19
- All essays should be marked with summative and formative comments including the use of the To Improve stamps. Comments should be based on the exam marking criteria provided by AQA.

Recording |
- Pupils will have their assessment sheets in the front of their books. One book per teacher.
- The grade will be recorded on the sheet along with a pupil comment and parent signature.
- An MTR sheet will be set up for each teaching group. This will use a traffic light system based on predicted grades (The PPO assessment).

Moderating |
- A moderation inset will take place in the first term to ensure consistency and discuss any issues arising.
- Observations and work scrutiny of books will also take place during the year.
